Soldering new high quality interconnect wires on RX turntable- Good or Bad idea?

    Hi all, New guy here-

Well, I am pretty excited. At 49 and being a musician, guitar player GEARHEAD I decided to finally aquire a decent home stereo. I went with Arcam on the components and I just bought a clean MMC4 cartridge for my $10 yard sale Beogram RX turntable that a tech went over and it works well.

When I hooked it up yesterday the first thing I noticed were the thin, probably not the greatest quality factory interconnect wires and I thought to myself maybe it would be a good idea to solder new high quality wire with quality gold connectors-

Good or Bad idea? Thank you for your time- Barry, Wilmette, IL

Hi Barry, and welcome to Beoworld. If I were you I would just leave it as it is. B&O obviously though the spec of the cables was good enough when it was made. Also after changing it I doubt very much you would hear any difference. Enjoy your RX turntable.
