BeoSound 5 NetRadio, how does it works ?

Does the internetradio always need the server from B&O; or is it also possible to programm own radio channels into the BS 5 (BeoMaster) ?

    No, sorry.

B&O has their own database. The address of this is mentioned in the windows register.

To get the N-Radio working, you always need a pc/mac where beoplayer/port is installed and registered.

Otherwise the BM5 will not get the data about the radio channels.

My experience is that every 2 weeks the list will be updated.

    No, sure not.

You only have to do this once.

If you don't, the BM1 or 5, gives you the message: "Not Registered".

So, after installing Beoplayer/port and registering you leave the PC/Mac on. Then start NRadio.

Then you'll see the system (BM) updating on regular base.

Of course, not mentioned, but required, a working network.

Once you've registered the BS5 using BeoPlayer/BeoConnect (happens automatically during install), no computer is required to use N.radio.  You cannot add your own stations.  I'm told you can write B&O, and they will add it.  Although I haven't tried this myself, I do believe this because there are thousands of stations on the BS5.
