I WANTED TO ADD THAT ON THE E-BAY PITCURE THE SYSTEM WAS ON, AND ARRIVED HERE SAFE, PERFECTLY PACKAGED, SO IT IS NOT POSSIBLE THAT WAS BROKEN DURNG TRANSIT.

If there is no red light, you are not getting power. The problem could be as simple as a loose wire in the power cable plug. That would be the first thing to look at. After that, check the fuses, though if a fuse has blown, there will be a reason.

He said he hears a click (relais) so it must have power.

I had exactly the same issue when I bought mine (Beomaster 6500) some time ago from the UK. Seller offered me to send it back and got a full refund. Funny thing is that it was fully functional when he got it back????

    B&O item 1, B&O item 2, B&O item 3,...................B&O item 735

    Beovirus? What's that?

Lots of equipment from this era has contact problems or bad solderings to begin with, which may create all kinds of issues when the friendly shipment guys throw them around and play football with them shake the packages a little bit.

It's impossible to say what the actual problem is without investigating further, but it does need service now, and I'm afraid it will be more involved than opening the lid and saying hello to the insides Sad If you are not able to repair these things yourself, the easiest solution might be to do as Leslie did and return it...

the fact is that seller does not accept return, that I had to arrange courier by myself, paying 30£.

aniway ,after the controversy will be solved , I'll ask B&o how much does it cost to repair it.

I hope to get a refund ,so that I can make it work again.....also if I think that 80£ will not be enough!!!

Check the fuse on the powersupply and amplifier board. It sits well hidden
in a corner close to the mains transformer. Not easily accessed.

You can't always see on a fuse if it's good. You will have to measure a bit.
Next step will be to check the large filter capacitor next to the fuse on the board.
