I use a basic iPod dock toghther with a homemade 3.5mm - 5 pin DIN lead that is connected to the AUX input on the 2500 (an Overture in my case). You just switch to the A AUX to select the iPod.
Some of my B&O: BV3/32, MX7000, MX5500, LX5500, MX4000, BM8000, BM6000, Overture, BL8000, BM6000 Quad, BM4400, BM3400, BG-CDX, BM3000, BM1001, BM1200, BM1600, BM1700, BM1500, BM1400, BM2400, BM2300, BM4500, BM4000, BVM70, BVS45-2, BVS60, BC7700, BM2200, BM1900, BG8002, BM1202, BVPenta, BVP45

Richtoy,
Thanks for your reply to my post. Would it be
possible for you to send me some details on how you rigged the cable
from the 5 pin beo to the rca type ipod docking station cable. I'm
obviously not an audiophile but am willing to give it a try with your
help. Also ..the fm radio on my 2500 won't pick up the fm transmitter I
have connected to my computer. Is this typical on the 2500. I connected
up the rabbit ear fm antenae but still nothing???
Thanks for you
help.

I use a generic 5 pin DIN to female phono and coonect this to a 3.5mm to twin phono lead.
Just switch the BeoCenter to AUX turn on the iPod and try the pug combinations until you get a sound.

Great! Now is there a reason why there are two wires to white or does it matter? And any reason why you use the rca females instead of males? Please be patient with me..I'm just a beginner.
Thanks again

And never trust the colours, even though you may be used to white & red being the left & right!
I used to have "correct" adapters in this respect, the next time I bought them from the same place they looked exactly like the one in your picture, but the pairs are black & white and red & yellow. Don't ask which pair is in and which pair is out, I never remember

If I remember well, than Ridax has a special adapter which allows not even to connect the Ipod to the 2500, but You can even remote control it with the remote control.
Really?

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Thanks Elephant,
I already have the apple dock and the dock's usb/power cable. Which new components would I need? (And I am not experienced in soldering)

I believe no soldering is required !
Ridax used to do it for you ...
Just send him a PM and maybe he can still provide you that service
