Beocenter 9300 - No sound on speaker 2

Just connected up a Beocenter 9300 I have purchased. It has a problem where there is no sound from the Speaker 2 connections. What I have found is that if I connect the speakers to the Spekaer 2 connections. Then jiggle the plug for the left speaker the right will come on but sounds a bit muffled. Nothing seems to come from the left side, no matter what I do. Speaker 1 connections seem to work perfectly. As does the muting relay.

The spkr 2 connectors are connected pretty much directly to the output amp while spkr 1 take the longer route through the muting relay... can't be sure without the 9300 service manual, but I can't believe that this could be anything else than a problem in the connectors themselves, their solderings, or the wiring that leads up to them. The solderings might have cracked if somebody yanked on the no.2 cables in the past.

Indeed they had Mika, you were spot on. It had also damaged the tracks on the PCB. With a bit of patience and a soldering iron, I have repaired the tracks and it is all working perfectly. Quite happy as this is the first time I have worked inside a Beocenter 9XXX/8XXX.
