Hi all - I collected some B&O for my own home use on Sunday, but along with this came some lovely non-B&O equipment.  The owners were a lovely middle aged couple who were heavily into their audio and had quite a collection they were trimming down.  All the following have been owned by them from brand new - they purchased them in 1975.

Item 1 -

Bowers & Wilkins DM4 Loudspeakers.  Excellent condition with only a few light marks from normal home use, finished in Teak and each speaker comes with it's own user manual and test certificate inside!   These sound lovely - very warm and detailed.

Reviews say "The DM4 uses the same tweeter (Celestion HF1300 MkII) and supertweeter (Coles 4001) as the famous Spendor BC1."

Akai GXC-46 Cassette Deck

Bought around 1980, this was a top-of-the-line deck.  In excellent condition, same owner from new and complete with original user manual.

Price - £75

Bought in the 1970's and in what i'd class as Good Condition, with a few little knocks and bumps but generally very tidy indeed.  One owner from new, but they lost the instructions so it's on it's own!

Well done! The nails in any collection! The 4000 has eluded me so far -don't see them very often, if at all -over here.

They've been cleaned, re-boxed and shrink wrapped for future usage.  One day i'll have a classic audio room, and these'll be in it.

Anyone for the non-B&O kit?!!!

Congratulations! Sounds like a great find. I don't think it gets any better than that for vintage B&O.
