    Beogram 1000 - Motor overhaul

How easy si it to strip clean and rebuild a BG1000 motor. Got a lovely mint one with the usual slow speed issue. Left in running for 30 mins, and now its playing fine. Just listened to William Orbit on it. In the past I have done a BG12XX with no problem at all. Although I know this motor is quite different, I imagine the fault to be the same. Dried up grease. Which is now doing the opposite of what it should.Laughing

Re: Beogram 1000 - Motor overhaul

The Beogram 1000 came with 4 different motors.
    Some are easier than others.
The main problem is usually the motor pulley, some are incredibly
tight on the spindles, especially on the old round motor type.

    DOH!!!! LaughingLaughing

Strangely when I removed the bottom cover. There was another of the small PCB's that fit in place of the RIAA floating about.

Looks like I will have to remove the motor and see how it goes. Think this may be a job to do when I have got my vice sorted out. Not sure where it is packed at the moment.

Re: Beogram 1000 - Motor overhaul

Is it possible to change the motor for a different type? Just picked up a new old stock one. Part number 8400042. It's the same type s used in the BG1203.
