    AV9000 and Beo4 video aux

    Hi

I have become a proud owner of a lovely AV 9000 for my bedroom. It is connected with Beolab 6000s. I also have  roku soundbridge which I have connected to the video aux source at the back of control centre. I can select it by selecting the auxillary menu from the tape menu on screen but just wondered if I could select it directly form the beo4 I have added V aux to the list menu but it doesnt seem to work??

Any ideas of how and if this can be done??

    Many thanks

    Andy

Andy, do you mean the component connections? Red, White and Yellow phono (RCA) conections. If so then you need to add either Camera or Camcorder depending on the age of your Beo4.

try (corresponding to the version of your Beo4 and your AV9009) following sequence:

    "V.Taqe/V.Mem" ; "Menu" ; "5" ; "5"

if "5" is the guide number for the "V.Tape" in the main menu and then,
    inside the tape menu,
"5" should be the guide number for "V.Aux" again

Re: AV9000 and Beo4 video aux

    Hi Andy,

it's the same you did "manually" - just using shortcuts and beeing the fastest way to get "V.Aux"

There is no direct way to "V.Aux" - those days in 1992 the only use for "V.Aux" was

copying from a camcorder to the VCR ...

    Your way:

started by pushed "TV" or "V.Tape/V.Mem"

    then "Menu"

then 4 times "Arrow down" to highlight "V-Tape Menu"

    then "GO"

then 4 times "Arrow down" to highlight "V.Aux"

    then "GO"

    to get "V.AUX"

(this way takes + 10 seconds)

The same happens, if you press the following buttons in short intervals

! The number at the beginning of each menu line can be used as a shortcut !

(As far as I can remember, in the main menu "V-Tape" is  the 5th line
and in the V-Tape menu  "Video Aux" is the 5th line again)

    press "TV" or "V.Tape/V.Mem" ;

    press "Menu"

    press "5"

    press "5" again

(taking only 2 or 3 seconds to reach the target)
