Chris,
See my most: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/32860/267294.aspx#267294
As for a stand alone player I don't have any problem with it... Just have to see it in the flesh. As in typical Beoworld style the new products gets boo'd before it's released.
Karel.

Ahh, so true.
For the millions of people who don't realize they can just buy $2 "y" RCA-to-mini-stereo cable and plug it into the AUX-IN port in the back of their existing stereo, TV, alarm clock, and what not.

I must say I still don't understand the reason for using an Ipod dock at home with a B&O setup.
While I'm sure that some audio clients will buy it for kids, patios, vacation homes, etc. I think this is really in a similar category to the BeoSound 1. Most people who buy them are making their "big investment" and do not have a major audio product, home stereo network, or anything else.

If it looks nice I will get one for my office, where I have no other B&O and is not allowed to use iTunes or any other similar program on the company computers.

I think that the Beolab 11 drawing above don't show it as a nice product, but it turns out that most people love it.
I think we should wait to see the real thing before making such judgments.

Hi Phillondon
Off cause, my opinion was also only based on the drawings, lets hope we will be positively surprised when the actual product arrives.

Thinking the same: Beosound 6 oriented. Product support with IPOD too.
WI-FI is required today, if we can merge N.RADIO + N.MUSIC also.
Mains power 110-240 ?

Beosound 6 is a discontinued product. If they have an Iphone / Touch Software that let you control link products this might be a killer. I doubt that though. I am just surprised it doesnt have buttons.
Either they have a software or this is not the audio product they announced and delayed. How would this interact with BS5 with no buttons, or am I suppose to use remote? Using a remote would limit it's use a bit, my apartment is relatively open and I had to switch the remote off on my BS9000 and BS2300 and just left my BC2 operational with remote.
I am still hoping this is not it, I was hoping for some sort of BS4 like audio system. This seems to me more like one of these products they wanted to get away from.

This is not the new audio system that's meant to supplement the BeoSound 5.

Seems like David Lewis was watching Madonna's Blond Ambition videos when came up with this design. Maybe that's why it took so long.

Although a little late in the game it's not a bad move by B&O.
Maybe it's designed for Apple Stores?
Walk into any flagship Apple store and you can pick up a B&W Zepplin dock, B&O A8's, B&O Earset 2's. Why not a B&O iPod dock.

When are we going to see this new audio system Trip!

Should be coming end of year ..... it was delayed due to the BV10-46 which to me is hard to understand since one would think it requires a different set of resources ....

When you manufacture in just a handful of buildings, most of the resources are common resources. Products are produced in batches, then there is a retooling to build another product and so on. That is the blessing/curse of hand limited automation in fabrication.
You're correct about the timeline, though. I'd be surprised if there weren't leaks by fall. And I'm not being coy, it's not a complete product yet so it's not like there's a fully formed gem under a blanket somewhere. It's just a concept that's been discussed and we have a pretty good idea of what it will look like and what it will do.
