Masterlink based on CAT 7 cable... 300m ordered

So today we made the plan for my MasterLink system they will bring into the walls when they renovate my flat. Its a 65 sqm  small flat and I just want to connect the living room via a wall closet (which I will use as "Media Room" to the kitchen. Around 300m of CAT 7 cables will be used, just for example from the "MediaRoom" to the living room will got 10 different CAT 7 cables to be able to transport HDTV signals, MasterLink commands, PowerLink Surround signals etc. etc.  I think 20 years ago a similar amount of datas was used at the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), we use today only for Video and Music signals.

I am wondering a little bit about the amount of cables you need...

CAT7 is specified for 600Mhz, meaning (at least) 1Gb/s of traffic on IP-traffic. This is a lot more than WIFI, used i.e. by Sonos.

All other brands like Sony,Samsung,Panasonic etc connect a television with one (1!) ethernet cable.

A CAT7 cable consist of 4 pairs of drilled 2 wires, 8 wires in total in one cable. This cable is ending (typicaly) in an RJ45 plug.

If you need ten cables...where do you connect all the plugs?

    Just wondering,

I'm interested to see how the CAT 7 cables are terminated in order to connect into ML and powerlink. For those going ahead with CAT 7 cable set-ups, are you terminating your cables yourselves with ML plugs and 8 pin DIN, or are there commercially available solutions?

    Cheers,

    Matthew

You can get cables with a ML/PL plug on one end and a CAT 7 plug on the other end.

The system is a little bit future proof (HDTV streaming on 2 cables, 1 for ML signals, one for powerlink)  = 4 cables from the BeoMaster to the TV

Any indications on prices from B&O dealers for the ML/PL to CAT 7? (any currency is fine).

Am doing a large renovation and had planned to run ML cable throughout but am now considering CAT 7 in light of this info.

    Thanks.

I am looking to buy a 300M real of CAT7 - will any CAT7 cable be suitable or do I need to use B & O's cable?
