    Beomaster 6500 FM receiver

I noticed that I suddenly get nothing but static on my preset stations. I don't really listen to the radio a lot so it's not that big a deal. Anyway, is this an "easy" repair or more complicated?

That's not a easy  job, you need some experience and at least a frequency counter and a oszilloscope.

Or you are lucky: look for bad solderings, especially around the wire connectors. Check the heat of the chips.

Try to set a known frequency with the MCP, notice the answer to the MCP, what frequeny is displayed.

I was even luckier :) – when I opened the beomaster to check the solderings as you suggested I found that the only problem was a very loose, grey cable. Works like a charme again.

    Thanks for your quick help!
