    Beocom 2500, Make it Louder?

    Hi fellow enthusiasts.

I am recently the proud owner of the above phone purchased through ebay.

    Everything works fine, BUT.

The ringer is loud enough but the hands free volume and the volume through the earpiece in the hand set is really too quiet even at full volume. It would be unusable in a busy office.

Is there a trick or mod to make it louder (internal replacement of part for example)? I have no Beolink system and would rather keep my calls private anyway. I can do a bit of soldering etc.

    Any ideas please?

    Bump!

Also, now there is an intermittent failure for the dialled number to actually call the number I want whether from memory, redial or hand dialled. Hand dialling very slowly, (one a second) seems to help a bit. Has anyone come across this, please?

There is a little click after the dial beep every press of a number. Is this normal?

Bingo, the problem re "intermittent failure for the dialled number" has been fixed with new batteries!

But sadly, the first point about volume is still unanswered.

    Any ideas please?
