    IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT about Membership Renewals

    Over the past two weeks I have been moving the Beoworld Web Site (NOT the forum) to a new "Dedicated Server"

    Hopefully, no one noticed any loss of service during this period, however the payments link to the bank for renewal of membership and purchases of Beoworld products is not currently available and will continue not to be available until after Easter.

    Apologies to members who did try and renew their membership and I will get it back connected to the bank as soon as possible after Easter.

    Sometimes in the last couples of days, my account stars, changes.. Sometimes bronce sometimes silver,,

    I think my renewal is stuck in the shopping cart.

    Poor Lee is gonna be stuck eating hot dogs cut into Kraft Dinner until the problem gets fixed.

    I have also tried to use the "Contact Us" link on the main page and get the following error:

    500 - Internal server error.

    There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

    Please let us know when the membership renewal system is back working again.

    Many memberships must be due for renewal at this time as it is the month that the "new" Beoworld went live!

    We've also moved to a new server, which requires a new SSL Security Certificate in order to process payments safely - that's the https bit which gives us all protection when handing over card details, which is of course rather a requirement!!

    The Bank Holiday in the UK knocked us out for a few days and set us back, but please be assured Keith is working on it and we'll be back up in full imminently.

    Just tried to renew my membership.. But still a server error:

    500 - Internal server error.

    There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

    The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

    Dear Beoworld Members,

    I wish to confirm that I have completed all changes including the installation of our new SSL security certificate.

    Members who need to renew their membership can now do so as the secure link to the bank has been established from our new server.

    The Beoworld web site (not forum) now runs on a dedicated server under our total control. It has a very large capacity and currently we are using about 5% of its capacity. It is connected to a 100 mega bit per second Internet connection. Other than the web site itself the system also runs a mail server and SQL server which is used to store members account information in a secure manner.

    Lost my stars & f Huh?

    It just won't let me upgrade/renew. As soon as I click on the renew button it just say's 'Thank you for registering. An activation email has been sent which needs your attention before you can login'

    No e-mail arrives and I can't proceed. I've tried logging out and back in again.

    What am I doing wrong?

    EDIT - it tells me I'm bronze in MY Beoworld but as I type now my stars still show

    EDIT2 - It may have something to do with Founder Membership Sold Out as I noticed I've missed renewal by two days.

    Still have problems here. Neither emptying cache nor resetting safari worked for me. Still no email comes from the system. I remember all previous years it was much easier.....

    Just renewed without any problems.

    Other times I had problems with paying over the Internet, my new credit card was not open for Internet payment. I had to open this in my Internet bank.

    I never got any message that it was the credit card that caused the problems. I tried many times, and also contacted the selling company before I cleared out that the problem was the card. So check everything is in order with your credit card.

    The truth is I actually used another computer to renew my membership. I thought at the time it must be a cache problem on this PC but having cleared my cache and tested the renew feature I can see that I would still have problems so it wasn't a cache problem after all.

    Your renewal date is not until June, hence why you have not received an e-mail yet..

    i thought my renewal had made the F next to the stars disappear ...

    It does not appear on the front page ... but it does everywhere else !
