    Re: Beo4 Remote Stand

A friend of mine has my design for a nice brushed stainless steel stand (2 models, Beo4 & BL1000) with a view to making some but that was about 18 months ago.Tongue Tied

Maybe it's time I took him for a drink and got it sorted outBeer

last night i thought id have a bash at how id like to see a beo4 stand, it was late , all the diy stores were closed so i could only use what i had at hand

ive used a beo4 wall bracket, a beosound 3000 clamper (dont worry it was an old scratched one i replaced) , a 2.5 inch L bracket , black electrical tape, stick on rubber feet, and finally no job would be complete without a little double sided tape,

Now that's a simple and yet beautifull solution !

I would certainly prefer this one over the lintronic version !

thanks everyone, i am very pleased with it especially as it only took 15 mins to make,

any round disc of aluminium will do as the clampers are around £35, you can also do without most of the back support of the wall bracket to be even neater as the holder is strong enough without it

in fairness the parts were already designed by b+o , i just very crudely stuck them together, although i must admit ive enjoyed the replys,

heres some more photos so you can all have oneBig Smile

I think both are interesting though I must confess to not really wanting a holder. I think you are all a bit critical of the Lintronic one - I think it an elegant solution and one that will be liked by many people. I think Jay's solution a brilliant bit of home engineering! A bit of lead on the base will give it more stability and a nice weight!

    Re: Beo4 Remote Stand

Must say I prefer Jays stand. It realy looks like a B&O factory product, well done. All in all though isn't the idea of Beo4 being made of zinc so it doesn't sweat in your hand. I'd still buy one for when it's not in use, just for display or for when you need to find it, rather than looking under the the couch and such. Bring on Beo5 and a stand too!

Oh yeah! You were the one who started the thread Corvin Smile

I'm going to have a DIY brainstorm for myself this weekend. I can't get over how good jay's Beo4 holder is! I would love to make one myself, but I don't know what the bits are, let alone where I'd find them.
