I seem to have an obsession with acquiring complex B&O cassette recorders that don't work, particulary Beocord 5000 Type 4715. This has been a worrying affliction, but having recently bought a Beocord 9000 that works, I feel strong enough now to part with them!
One is in Rosewood, the other Teak. Cosmetically they are OK, with the odd light scratch and finger marks on the control panels but, of course, they don't work - but they never do, do they!
I also have a Beocentre 4000 in Teak with the usual problems of broken hinges to the lift up panels - and the casette section needs some attention.
I will send if someone picks up the carriage/postal costs, otherwise they are destined for ebay as ' for spares or repairs' or, ultimately, the tip.
Or they can be collected from down here in sunny Devon.
