    Beosound 2 discontinued

I thought it would go years ago, but it has only just been discontinued! So if you want a pretty and good sounding B&O MP3 player, this could be your last chance!

I got mine second hand just because I wanted a B&O mp3 player. To be fair it looks good, sounds good, and is straightforward and pleasurable to use...but the integration with iTunes was/is terrible and a 2Gb max storage capacity is pretty minimal if you rip CDs at an anyway decent bitrate.

My battery was on the way out so I enquired about a new one and found out it was £67 just for the part. I think this sums up where the BS2 is in the current marketplace!!! How much are they still selling them for? £350ish? That's a joke.

What I find interesting is that the trade price for a BS2 is more than that of a BS6.

Too bad. Perhaps now as a collectors item the BS 2 has become more valuable.

I finally took my Beosound 6 out on a short flight recently ( I take it and then forget it ). Passenger to my left  " Pardon me: What is that ? " Answer  " B&O ! "  Reply " Really ? "

Feeling the eyes across the aisle, I looked up smiling.  Passenger to my left: " B&O, huh ? Thats like a Vertu, right ? "

    Right.
