    Avant plate

    For sale: plates to put on the top of an Avant to put devices like HDR, DVD on top.

    These plates are black, 45,- euro a piece ex. shipping.

    I would beware of using anything with a solid construction such as  this as it does not allow the required airflow.  The danger is that the TV will run hotter internally than designed and it could significantly shorten the life.

    Imho this will hardly be a problem here, the plate is not that close to the airvents, and these are even inside the cover already blocked in the center by a plastic cover (probably to prevent things from falling in/through).

    Also the amount of heath generated isn't all that much...

    This is not a new invention: these plates have been around long time and i've never heard of heath problems...

    You will notice that the encumbent designs are perforated or "frame only" designs to get around this very issue.

    If I had a pound for every tv repair I did because someone wanted to keep their tv in a cupboard (dont ask) then I would have enough money for a new A9 ;)
