    two-way comunication problems??

    Hi this is my problem, i have a beocenter 9500, 2 beolink 5000's (mk1 &mk2), a beolink 7000 (rds).

now the problem is sometimes they fine and sometimes not at all, i can turn the 9500 on but the remotes say no contact then if its in standby the BL7000 says no contact but if its left for an hour or so the time will appear and it works but i go to turn it on and i get no contact!

i have checked the all remotes and the 9500 with a camcorder and the infrared led's are all working so does anyone have any ideas? (before it all goes in a skipAngry LOL)

    thanks

    Kind Regards, Mark

i think it has something to do with the 5 capacitors at the top off the BL7000 which i wil be changing today.

After replacing the 5 caps there is still a defect in the BL7000, which is still unknown. I have the same problem with one of my own BL7000's and it works sometimes, sometimes not.

Replacing the complete display board solves the problem, that's for sure, tested, but this won't help you. There is more than the caps, i believe it has something to do with the acid of the defect caps, the acid has destroyed something else and make a shortcut. I have cleaned these display boards and some work again, some not.

Remove the display itself, yes it can be disassembled by the black plastic straps, clean the board with hot water, isopropanol and hot water again. Let it dry for some days and test it again. Its 50:50 to have removed the acid. Probably its under the smd ir transceiver chip next to the pair of caps.

    Re: two-way comunication problems??

thanks for the info but that still does not explain the two beolink 5000's also doing the same? at the same time as the bl7000.

when they work they all work and when thet say no contact they all say no contact?

    so must be the 9500?
