    Beovox 3000 120V USA work on 240V beosound 4000?

    Have some old US B&O (Beovox 3000 pasive speakers) in storage can you safely hook up a USA 120V speaker to a 240V beo unit. It sounds feasible but not sure how the link system would behave. I dont want to fry the speakers. Phill (new member)

    Hi, and welcome to Beoworld!! Smile

    If your speakers are passive, they will not require any voltage at all and will need an amplifier to drive them. They will just have two wires to connect to a passive link on a stereo. The system, is it a Beocenter 4000? This should have passive inputs that are not voltage dependant. Passive speakers do not require power...

    Thanks for the info the beosound Ouverture I have says link cable for active speakers so was not sure if they would work. Appreciate the help. Phill
