I am selling my MS150s. These are the biggest and best passive loudspeaker made by B&O. They were restored professionally after I bought them and have had a very quiet life since. This actually is a mistake as the protection relay was stuck but luckily a well known B&O author has remedied this and they are now working perfectly. They are finished in rosewood and have the correct stands. They have all the frets, though some of the prongs are missing - these can be replaced with rawlplugs but I tend to use them without the covers on so have no done so. All the covers do stay in place though! The two bass drivers in each speaker have had the rolls replaced with rubber so will not get rot again, and one tweeter was found to need repairing at the restoration so this was done too.
What do they sound like? Wonderful is the answer - the restorer (attached to Richard Allen speakers) thought they sounded so good that he tested them in his sound chamber. He was immensely impressed with their flat frequency response as well as the depths of bass they can reproduce. They sound fantastic with both my Beomaster 8000 and 4400.
From a condition point of view they are in good shape - couple of small marks but nothing that shouts out at you. I'll put some new pictures on though they are the ones shown on site. This picture makes them look paler than they actually are!
I am looking for a reasonable price for these, c.£500 ono and they will need shipping arranged by the buyer! They do not come with the original boxes!!! Remember that these are not small speakers! I have transported them in an estate car along with the rest of an 8000 system but I have no idea how!
