    First BeoVision 7-55 review

FlatpanelsHD has a very detailed review online of the 55-inch BeoVision 7-55 with calibration reports and BeoVision 10 comparison: http://www.flatpanelshd.com/review.php?subaction=showfull&id=1266502570

It seems to be an excellent TV but the Blu-Ray player is quite slow.

It's a shame the same site didn't review what I assume is it's dad -

it would have been an interesting comparision.

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

Nice that they describe it as the LCD with the best picture quality.

    Beovision 7-55 with Beolab 7-4, 9s and 4000s

    Beovision 10-40 with Beolab 1s and 6000s

    Beosound 1, 5, 2000, and 3000

blu ray is a bit slow Smile, but when i am looking to a film fot about 90 minute (or longer) , what matters a couple of minutes of waiting before the movie starts

    Re: First BeoVision 7-55 review

I am very happy with my 7-55, its just a great TV - great picture and sound. The BR is slow, yes, and I don't use the DVB-HD (I use another STB), and it does a great job. I have connected the following to my 7-55: BM5 (HDMI+Composite), Zaptor STB (HDMI), Tvix M6600 (HDMI+Composite), Internal Blueray (HDMI), an DVR (Composite) and a Wii (Composite). Speakers are a BL7-2 and a BL2, and everything works great, also in link rooms.
It a little bit stupid using the yellow button on Beo4 to control the BR.
We sit fairly in front of the TV (angle 0-45 degrees), and from these angles you won't notice the disadvantage with the Backlight with local dimming.

I have not regret the move from 7-40 to 7-55.

    There is something about B&O.....
