Beogram 8000/8002: Tracking weight sliders compatible?

Hello everyone. As you may know, I have a Beogram 8000 which is missing the plastic slider used to change the tracking weight. I've recently been offered the tracking weight slider from a Beogram 8002 as a possible replacement. Is there a way to make the slider for the smaller tonearm work with the larger one? The service manual I have doesn't even list separate part numbers for this piece; it just shows the Beogram 8002 arm, and gives a part number for it's slider. Thanks in advance!

Is there such a thing as too many Beograms?

Re: Beogram 8000/8002: Tracking weight sliders compatible?

To help, here are a couple of photos. First, from the Beogram 8000 owner's manual, a side view of the tracking weight slider:

Second, from the Beogram 6006/8000/8002 service manual, a portion of the diagram of the tonearm, showing the slider and what attaches it to the arm. The arm in the diagram seems to be the small one from the Beogram 8002, but the service manual I have has no separate diagram for the Beogram 8000/6006 tonearm, so I'm not sure what to think:

    Again, thanks in advance.

Very unlikely - they arms are very different sizes - I would suggest it would be easier to simply make a new one.
