The following are the differences I have established to date:-

Some of the New Features include:-

    • New screen format types (1x1, 2x2, 3x2, 4x1, 4x2) which will please a lot of Beoworld members
    • Support for Arabic, Chinese and Russian, but without the actual translation, I guess that will come with a future release.
    • Support for Windows 7 (32 bit), but NOT 64 bit
    • Changes to the Logical Source Selection dialogue showing internal sources.
    • Support for A.AUX option on audio products which will also please a lot of Beoworld members

Product templates updated or added include:-

    BeoVision 7-55 --  BeoVision 8-32 PUC --  BeoVision 10-40 --  BeoSound 4  --  BeoSound 5 --  BeoVision 5

Templates for Denmark and Norway along with many logos

Third Party Products updated or added include:-

Daikin Air Conditioning --  LG Air Condition  --  Salamander Big Fire place  --  Kesseböhmer –ScreenMotion  --  Future Automation

    Re: Beo5 CT3.57

Keith...can you expand a bit on the screen formats?  What does that mean?

Guess I'll have to continue running in XP Virtual Mode until they support 64 bit Windows 7!

Basically we are talking about number of Icons on a page and the format they are in. Previously there were a couple of formats with 4 x 3 being the most common which created 3 icons in a row and 4 columns down. Now when you create a new page you can define how many icons you want on that page. You can even have one icon which will cover the whole screen.

Listed below are the formats now available

Hmm...that could make for some interesting layouts.  Now I guess I'll have to play a little!

Are there recommended sizes (pixel x pixel) for each of the layouts?  I would assume the graphic for a 1x1 screen should be much larger than what we've been using in the 3x4 layout in order to be clear when dsplayed.Smile

I suppose i have to save the xml file, uninstall everything and than install the new version

No, provided you do not change the location of the program from the default, the old version is uninstalled and the new version is then installed.

As with all new version installations, its always a good policy to create a "Restore Point" at least, prior to the upgrade and if you are like me, all my systems get full image backups every night.

You can only change page format with a new page, not the predetermined page where it's supposed to TV logo must be at.

Only on the new page you create.
