    Beogram CD3500

i wonder if anyone could help me with setting up my servo pcb i have tried to do one before and blew the lazor ! not wishing to repeat the exercise this time. i have just compleated a swap of numerious components from the main decoder/power supply pcb onto a better main board. So far i can raise/lower lid and have functions  and all the voltages +/_ .The servo pcb its the early version pcb running a hall effect lazor setup. I have an origional manual but i am not sure where to start regarding the servo setup "except the 1Kohm 4K7 i have set that ok. any help would be much appreaciated but it needs to be a sort of blow by blow account.

    Regards Maurice

Normally, the laser current is the only thing to adjust on the servo board - and that shouldn't be
touched unless replacing the laser diode itself.
Which type of capacitor did you mount in the laser output circuit C2103 ?
It needs to be a blue Philips to work.

As a Beoworld moderator, I took the liberty to edit your address' out.
No goofing, the belts will go to B. road as soon as time and the snow allows.

If you didn't replace C2103 I suggest you do so before testing (and eventually adjusting).
Mount a new blue Philips like the original.
You have an answer to your PM.
