    Plasma protected infra-red eye

    Hi folks-

I mounted a link room infra-red eye and then later a plasma television and now the eye wont work with the tv on.  I've read previous posts but just want to clarify a couple of things.  Is the Lintronic eye available from B and O stores or locally in the US?  Are the new infra-red eyes really plasma protected now?  My dealer doesn't seem to be too knowledgeable on the subject and says the filter is not available anymore.  Is there a filter I can make myself and put over the eye?  Any ideas?

    Re: Plasma protected infra-red eye

    Hi,

The B&O part number is 8087030. I bought mine via Lintronic and it works fine with my plasma.

Working on the Lintronic pricing it's around $168.00 USD. Don't know what the dealer price is though.

    Hope this helps.

    Peter
