Evening all :)
I just won a Beolab 5000 amp on eBay.de, and need to send the seller a message about postage for the item. Unfortunately I don't speak a word of German and wondered if anyone could help translate my message from English to German, and also to translate any message I get back from the seller? I know I could try Babelfish but I don't want to end up asking the seller their shoe size by mistake!
TIA

That's one of the luxuries of being a BeoWorld Member - superb translations from helpful friends!
I've been rescued many times from asking "does your dog cook noodles in high heels" when meaning to say "how much is postage" by some great people on here.

try this http://translate.google.de/?sl=de&tl=en#
it makes mistakes
but then don't we all ?
First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*
I just send you a PM .....

Have used language tools on google several times - never had a problem - might not be perfect, but if you also send the english version i think that helps!

And a double translation can help pick up any discrepancies or potential misunderstandings
The above to German: Hallo esHaben verwendete Sprache Tools auf google mehrmals - hatte nie ein Problem - vielleicht nicht perfekt sein, aber wenn Sie auch gerne die Englisch-Version Ich glaube, dass hilft!Bon chance (viel Glück)

Only bit "lost in translation" somewhere was "send" became "like" :D
Thanks all - I have had lots of offers of help. What a great forum with great members :)
Would have been ok with French I reckon - my A Level French is rusty but servicable. No chance with any other languages though!!!
Oha, the automatic "robot" german translation mentioned, above sounds very strange :-)If you still need the german translation please write me a PM with the details.
Feel free to drop me a PM, if you like a translation.
Best regards
