Hello all fellow BeoWorlders,
This summer i am getting married to the love of my life and we are talking about the honeymoon a lot.
All we know is that we want to have a really beautiful beach.. If you have any ideas of where we could go please dont hesitate to tell me.
So far we have talked about going to a small caribic island but dont know which one..
In advance; thx for all your suggestions

Firstly - congratulations!
Secondly - my favourite beach ever was Waikiki Beach on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. That said, there are plenty of beautiful beaches in the Caribbean..

Congratulations!
For honeymooning, my favorite beach would be Captiva Beach on Captiva Island, Florida.

We had our 2nd, 3rd, etc "honeymoons" at beaches although our first was in 1975 in Africa with the highlight being a gamepark.
You could always try Kenya and have beaches and a game park!
We have loved each of our beach honeymoons:
- Bermuda (1986)
- New Caledonia (1989)
- Cancun (1991)
- Los Cabos (2002)
The "best" was probable New Caledonia where every night we had a table down by the beach and enjoyed French cusine, a bit like the couple in the photo in the bottom right hand corner of this web site:
http://www.jasons.com/New-Caledonia/Southern-Province/Noumea/New-Caledonia-Tourism
and where I entertained the local children by falling off my windsurfer
... every time
So congratulations ... and I recommend that you budget and plan for many more happy "honeymoons" which are treats for you as a couple and when grandmothers give you a gift of a week away from the children !

The Maldives was great although a little plastic. My favorite is Borocay Island in the Philippines - not so well known but it has everything.
If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.

Or you could take Lex Luthor's advice ...

The world is a big place. Thank goodness my needs are small. As it turns out, I have this affinity for beach front property. |

Fleetwood beach has a great view of Heysham nuclear power station. Another plus is that you can still see it glowing when it's dark :P

1st suggestion: A few miles nort of Timbuktu you see a beach large enough for you two, it goes up to the Mediterranian Sea. Some people call it Sahara
Alternative: A beach between Blokhus and Løkken in Northwest Denmark, not so wide, but a little bit more convenient for a walk from your home to the waterside.
