Beo 5 Config Tool for end consumer release

I just bought a Beo 5 which is currently being programmed by the dealer.

When I complained about the necessity to have it programmed at the dealers, he commented that B&O is working on a programming software for the end consumer. Unfortunately, he was not able to provide me with a date when the software will be released. Does anyone have more news on the issue?

It sounds strange that he says it.

I have recently written to BeoCare and arsk the same, but the answer was that they had no plans for such a software program.

Re: Beo 5 Config Tool for end consumer release

I do not understand why they do not officially release the software to consumers. Especially as the config tool is already available on the net.

I think it is not bearable that one always has to visit a dealer if he wants to have s.th. changed ob the Beo5

Hope B&O will change their software release strategy.

I recall about a year back this came up here but then later they decided not to release a consumer version. Thing is, even if they would do 1st thing I'd start complaining that it doesn't run on a MAC. Big Smile
