Hello BeoWorlders,
I have a problem once again, this time with a "new" Beogram 4002 and my 4000.
Both turntables has been unused for over a decade. The 4002 had the standard seized up lubrication and was fixed easily. When playing a record, there is sound in both channels, but I have to turn up my Beomaster 5500 to max to hear it.
My Beogram 4000 has stood still for a while. I replaced the burnt out sensor arm bulb and adjusted it a little bit. It came to life and tracks perfectly, but it has the same problem, but just the right channel. I have tried several styli and of course I use the phono stage of my Beomaster 5500, which is working fine with my Beogram 8002.
I suspect that the problem could be a stuck/corroded muting relay?
