    Beosound 3200 - help!

Hi, I confess that I just joined as a bronze member as I have problem with my beosound 3200. I cannot switch it on (tried everything).  BUT I can play a CD through it using my beolab 3500 which is linked! However, this times out after a couple of minutes & the whole system shuts down.

There is a red & a green light on but no life otherwise. I cannot access any functions on the keyboard.

Resolution tips gratefully received. Thanks, Mark.

    The system is a Beosound 3200 + Beolab 6000 speakers + a Beolab 3500 in another room.

You have to set the correct Audio option for your BS 3200.

    Put all devices to standby.

Go to the room with the BS 3200.

Hit the (red) standby button & <LIST> at the same time.

Press <LIST> until it says OPTION? Pres <GO>

Press <LIST> until it says A.OPT, then press <2>

Hi Frank, thanks for your reply. I just tried your suggestion (3 times) but no change. The red light flickered when I hit the <2> but nothing more.  Any more ideas?

    Mark.

it looks like a pin-code error.

do you put a pin-code in the BS3200?

if yes: unplug the system for 0.5 h. re-plug it. enter the pin-code.

Hi tried that, left it unplugged overnight, when I plugged back in this morning it did not ask for a pin code. (I do use the pin code protection). I am trying again for 0.5hr. I will let you know what happens.

    hi Mark,

this isn't correct. If you installed a pin-code, it should ask for the pincode after the bs3200 was unplugged from the mains for about 0.5 h.

So if you unplugged it overnight it should ask for a pin-code!

you should also try it with everything unplugged (PL/ML/etc)

Hi, Done that, no change. No request for pin code. I fear there maybe something more serious than a system error! Any further suggestions gratefully received.
