    Beovision 8-40

    Hi,

whats your opinion on listening music on Beovision 8-40 speaker? Its a smaller room and my dad would not like any additional speakers.

Go for it : if it's a small room, it will be sufficient.

    Re: Beovision 8-40

For a while I used a BeoVision 8-32 as the music speaker in a 7 x 3.7 meter room, and it fulfilled the purpose admirably, not only for background music listening but movie watching too. Bass seemed good at first, but after purchasing and comparing to the BeoLab 9's, I noticed the BV 8 "boosts" signals around the 60-200 hz area by a lot, and sounds artificial to me now as a result. Highs are pretty crisp for not having a dedicated tweeter (the BV 8-40 has one) and was a definite improvement over the BeoSound Century (my inaugural music system).

For casual music listening and occasional movie watching, the BV 8-40 will more than fit the bill.
