    BeoMedia feigning death

I have a BeoMedia box (connected to BeoCenter2 and BV7-40), which I haven't used for a while. When I pressed "List - PC", the BV7-40 came up with a blank black screen and hummed gently. I took the usual first step and powered everything off and back on again (BV7-40, BeoCenter 2, BeoMedia). Now when I press "List - PC", the BV7-40 still comes up with a black screen but now buzzes like a demented hornet. The little green light at the back of the BeoMedia box is blinking permanently. I pressed the sprung button on the back of the BeoMedia but it does nothing. Any ideas please?

Isn't that what the sprung button on the back of the BeoMedia is supposed to do?

Keep it pressed until the green light goes off. Then press it again to reboot.

Thanks. Kept button pressed for a long time - green light just keeps flickering. Switched off power - green light goes out. Power on - green light flickers constantly.

It might be the powersupply, it´s an known issue.

They just don´t give the right power after some time.

Me and a few members have changed ours.

Ask your dealer for a spare one, or buy one at your local electronic shop.

Just be sure to get the right polarization and voltage.

Sounds like your powersupply is end of it's life. Your local shop should be able to provide assistance.
