ASUS NX90Jq is Bang & Olufsen designed

Here's some late breaking news from Engadget, a new computer with B&O speakers!

I wonder what else CES will bring?  The new subwoofer?

Damn.. you just beat me by a couple of seconds :-)

Sound seems to be deliverd from IcePower amps... and in my humble opinion... the screen has a rather BV8-ish look..

David Lewis had something to do with it...

I don´t like it. It looks too bad with the big speakers on the both sites.

But the sound must be great!!! Big Smile

Wow, just when my BeoPort-dedicated laptop starts getting old, here comes a B&O one..I love the design, and since it will stay at home for BeoPort only, I don't mind the huge screen.

Now, at USD 2,000-2,500, it makes BeoMaster 5 suddenly become almost a bargain!

I'll wait to have more info, but this could be the "home laptop" I'm waiting for..

    Reunion Island is greeting you!

If that is a measure for it's popularity then things are looking bright for Asus.

Re: ASUS NX90Jq is Bang & Olufsen designed

I just saw and played around with this new David Lewis designed computer today at the Las Vegas CES show. The sound from the speakers was quite nice for a mere computer. Unfortunately, the polished metal surface looked a bit grimy with all those fingerprints on it. This "notebook" is really too big to be a truly portable computer. It's more like  a desktop with a foldable display. It would make a nice media computer since it has Blu-Ray, an HDMI output, and a 1GB graphics card, but it's still Windows based. It would make a cool Hackintosh.... if only the Mac OSX operating system had Blu-Ray support. :-(

    No.

The trackpads aren't tennis elbow-inducing enough, the screen aren't glossy enough, and there's way too many useable ports on that thing for it to run OSX Whistle

And it will look really pretty as it crashes and requires you to remove the battery, unplug it, and restart Windows. Smile

Funny that - I remember, no so long ago, all the Maccites being similarly dismissive of Intel hardware - that seems to have gone very quiet!

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.
