BeoVision 10 with 40'' screen or with 47'''?

What do you think about new BeoVision 10 with 40'' screen is it big enough for average living room or is it better to wait for a bigger screen 47'' or whatever comes out this year as the price difference will probably not be that much?

That's a question related to personal taste. For me a 40" TV is enough. For many a 58" TV is too small, and they need a 65".

i have a 40" BV7 and its great for day to day viewing, a little small for my taste but i have a projector attached for movies.

if the 40" was my only method of viewing it would have been sold and a bigger tv bought.

bigger is better if the room and so distance is big enough and you have enough space to place a huge TV. My favourite would be a BV7-55 but I simple miss space and wife´s understanding for it ;-) so I have a BV8-40 and like it a lot.

As said before, you need to care about the viewing-distance. If you want a 47" screen, the viewing-distance should be at least 4,5 meters.

It depends on how far your average watching distance is from the TV, and if you have another movie/game room. My viewing distance is 3.2 meters and the BV 8-32 (which I used for just over a year) is a little small so I'm upgrading to the BV 10-40 when it arrives. Many people with a separate home theater room place a small TV or none at all in the main living room so it won't dominate the surroundings.

The following chart might prove helpful.

    BV 10-40, BV 8-32, BL 9, BL 4, CX100, BS Ouverture, BS 2000, BG 4500, Passive, LC 1, A 9

    1440P ???

saw this the other day ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Hi-Vision ... and at 33.2 megapixels it would obsolete today's blue-ray ... and yet this is the technology that home theatres (especially if 3D like Avatar?) may be adopting within 10 years

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*
