    Beogram 3000 light bulb

    Hi,

Anybody who can help me solving this fault with my Beogram 3000 type 5903?

Small issue though, but still, as a Beo perfectionist!

The bulb doesn't work. Initially I thought the bulb (12V) had to be replaced but it wasn't.

Checked both leads with a multimeter that runs to the connector on the board and they're okay, however no 12V.

I have some electronic basic skills but my skills in this case stops at  the PCB board.

Is there a possibilty (stupid question?) that the transistor TR3 as shown on the picture is faulty, or could there be another reason why the bulb is not having the 12V?

Try measuring voltage from ground (transistor TR3 emitter or similar) to
each of the leads of the lamp holder.

How can I measure a voltage when both platters has to be removed to get access to the board. I presume that only voltage can be measured (bulb lights up) when the platter is spinning?

The lamp lights up when the lid is opened if I remember correctly.
Anyway, the motor will spin nicely even with no platter and subplatter
and you should be able to operate the search buttons.

Oh man, am I stupid. Took the whole thing apart, measured all the related parts and guess what, the light switches on only when the "lifting up" button is pressed.

Sorry for all the inconvenience (Martin)!

    Thanks, I'm happySmile
