    BeoLab 4000 minor update?

Does anybody have any info on a BeoLab 4000 update? Their part numbers changed apparently, which signifies a revision. I heard through the grapevine that they were getting ICE Power, but I'm not entirely sure. Anybody got any information they'd care to share?

ICE power rated at 35W per module but producing the same sound pressure as the old ones. I guess this is done for economies of scale rather than anything else. It would be interesting to hear them side by side!

I'm going to be doing a side-by-side comparison of the two some time soon, and I'll report any differences I can hear. Smile

I am very glad to hear this as I have been in the market for a pair for quite a while. This gives me the very excuse I have been looking for to pull the trigger.

    Regards,

I would want to hear them both before jumping. The amplifiers in the Beolab 4 are a little compromised in design compared for instance to those in the Beolab 3. I rather like the Mk1 Beolab 4000 so will be interested to hear the differences, if any! A nice pair of Mk1s could be a very good second hand buy!
