    Blu Ray

    Hi there,
Im hoping this although difficult to me will be simple to you guys, ive just got a sony blu ray player for my B&O tv, ive got the hdmi high speed cable and ive linked it all up (It fits into the DVI-I port). When i go into connections the only thing showing in AV4 is PC which im assuming is just what the TV categorizes it as, from this point im stuck. Nothing is on the screen when the blu ray is on and i dont really know what im doing wrong can anybody offer any assistance ?

On my BV8 (I am not sure what your BeoVision is) the PC port is AV3 ...

    I have to:

    a) to press [MENU] on my Beo4 (sometimes twice), and under the SETUP menu select CONNECTIONS, and then select AV3

    b) under AV3 select SOURCE to be PC

    c) select HDMI to YES

    d) press (GO) to store these settings

If this does not help, then I think you need to "play" with the settings inside the BluRay player

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Hi please confirm which model TV you have.

In general terms you will need to run separate audio via scart or rca phono, but it is all irrelevant if you cannot select DVI-I, i.e. you do not have an HD module upgrtade.

Does the DVI-I input port on the Beovision support HDCP? If not, that could be the issue.

    why not use DVD2 under AV3 ?

what do you already have connected there ?

    Looking at the various BV7 manuals I think you have a 7-40, i.e. a 40 inch screen.

AV4 seems to be a specialised port.

    The manuals says ...

    What’s on the AV4 menu ...

SOURCE ... Select the source you have connected to the AV4 socket. Options are: NONE ... if nothing is connected. STB(DTV) ... for a connected set-top box (registered as DTV).

    STB(V.AUX) ... for a connected set-top box (registered as V.AUX). PC ... for a connected PC.

It seems that you may already have assigned other sources and only PC is left ...
