    MX4002 + STB

    Hope someone can help.

I am trying to find the menu on the MX4002 so that I can change the STB controller to work a Sky+ instead of the standard Sky box.

Dose anyone know how to access menu.

    Thank You

Hi, There isnt a menu for the STB controller on MXs, its done by using the tune button under v-setup on a Beo4 with the appropriate set top box IR number from the exact B&O Table/Chip STB List.

You must find out what B&O Table/List chip is installed before you can programme it or buy the new chip which is at the moment for the UK 4.18 with support for newer boxes!

    regards Douglas

p.s on the back of TV should be a sticker with STB table number, with this number you can get the box list from your dealer & then programme the controller.

    Hope this is clear enough

    Re: MX4002 + STB

I'm probably wrong but I thought that as the MX4002 was designed to be used as a link set, it didn't support STBc. I seem to recall that at the time B&O imagined that you would install extrenal box with the video master.

It was possible to fit STBc to MX4000 & MX42000.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure somebody with a better memory will correct me.

    Hi Douglas

Thank you very much for that,I - I am not home at the moment but will see if I can get it up and running when I get home.

I have MX4002 with STB controller fitted, the TV is about 5 years old and allows Beo4 to control Sky.

    Hi Douglas

Just to let you know I got MX4002 set up so that it now controls Sky+ - sorry it took so long to get back to you, Sky were slow to come out due to bad weather.

    Thanks again for help.
