    2300 - 1611 converter - BV3 not talking to each other

    Hello all

I'd be extremely grateful if someone could steer me in the right direction.  As the title of this post suggests, I've got a BV3 28" (masterlink module fitted), connected to a Beolink Converter 1611, connected to a 2300.  I have two Mk3 Pentas connected to the BV3.  I have several Beo4s (different versions).  The TV works fine with the Pentas, but I have no idea how to get the 2300 CD audio through the TV to the Pentas.  There are no speakers connected to the 2300.

I've had a good search through previous posts and can't quite find anything to help me.  I've downloaded the converter manual and set the TV to Op2 and the 2300 to Op0.  I've got a datalink cable and powerlink cable from the converter to the 2300, and a masterlink cable from the converter to the TV.  Everything is in the same room.

I don't really know what I should be pressing on the Beo4 to get the CD sound to play through the TV.  If I press CD on the remote, nothing happens - 2300 doesn't turn on.  If I press the CD on the control panel beneath the glass doors, the 2300 appears to play a CD as normal but the TV doesn't turn on.  I've tried various random combinations of Link Link-AV and AV, not really knowing i'm doing.

Any help will be warmly appreciated.  Otherwise i'm going to have to wait until the main dealer comes out next year to integrate everything properly!

    Regards

    Paul

How did you set the options? There is V.opt und A.opt on the Beo 4...

Remove the powerlink cable - it is not needed! And maybe in the way...

Those settings should work. Remember that for your TV you must use v-opt and for the BC 2300 you must use a-opt on your Beo4.

You may need to power off the mains and then power up again starting with the TV.

And as I recall the powerlink cabel is needed only if you would like to control the volume by operating the BC 2300 directly on the panel.

    Hi Paul,

here is the output from the PCG to configure the system:

                    Press:                          | Display:
                    -------------------------------------------
STANDBY + LIST at the same time | OPTION?
                    GO                              | V.OPT

                                                    | from BeoVision

    ************************* AUDIO SYSTEM SETUP **************************

    Beosystem 2300

    Option: OPTION 0, with Beo4

                    Press:                          | Display:

A BeoLink Converter is required to be able to connect the video- and
    audiomaster, part No. 1161166/1161466

Connect the AUX/TV socket of the audiomaster to the BeoLink
Converter's AUDIO AUX LINK socket using a 7/7-pin DIN cable.

Connect the BeoLink Converter's Master Link socket to the Master Link
socket of the TV-set using a BeoLink cable.

Connect a POWER LINK socket of the audiomaster to the POWER LINK
socket of the BeoLink Converter using a Power Link cable.

    Hope that helps,
    Frank
