Congratulations to Mr Eric van der Wateren of London UK once again, who scooped a brand new Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 8 - 40" in the huge BeoWorld September 2009 Prize Draw!

The BeoVision 8 - 40" was very, very kindly donated by Bang & Olufsen UK - and here was Erics post on the September prize thread upon learning he had won..

I'm sure that all seems a distant memory now as the excitement and anticipation became reality last month when Eric received his huge new TV in its box! To say it looked stunning in his apartment is an understatement - but here you can see for yourself!

Firstly, we wedged the huge box into my car and gave it a Police escort from Eastbourne to London.  

Well - when i say Police escort, it's sort of true. Paul, my friend, is actually a Police Officer

We duly parked, paid our London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea parking fee by text, then proceeded to 'un-wedge' the TV from my car whilst Mr van der Wateren came down to give us moral support...

That's it chaps - this apartment.. yes, come on.. hurry up!

Out with the LX - a faithful servant for a great number of years

Mr van der Wateren needed to have a 'room re-arrange' first though, so we parked his new (colossal) TV on his table for the moment. Mrs van der Wateren disappeared to get cake to replenish energy expended during installation..

...the arrival of the best ever early Christmas present....

After some of the most beautiful cake we've ever tasted - we finally 'officially present' Mr van der Wateren with his brand new BeoVision 8

Thank you ever so much for coming all the way to London yesterday in the storm and rain. We are glad you managed to get here safely, and we hope your return trip was easier.

It was a great pleasure to meet you in person and to have a chance to chat about the real Beoworld! In the end, it is the enthousiastic team behind it that makes it all happen.

We are absolutely thrilled with the September prize and want to thank you, the Beoworld community and of course Bang and Olufsen for their generosity!

So - finally, i would like to wish Eric and Ortansa (his lovely wife) our Best Wishes and many happy years with their BeoVision 8 - 40 !!!

Thank you Emmanuel, and you are right, it is a huge change.

We never thought of our LX as a small screen during its 15 years until we got used to the new BV8-40 (which took no time at all!)

It really is a wonderful set and we absolutely love it.
