VX7000 - almost perfect picture & recording - stops while rewinding......

    .....an "international" question...,-)

My good old VX7000 is playing an recording very well - good picture, good sound... no dazzles or missing sound in any way..... BUT:

...when rewinding or at "fast forward", it stops after a few seconds and turns off......

    Any ideas?

If it stops and turns off, then this is a fail safe function. Something is wrong with it's logic or power supply.

Probably there is a power fail at higher load, usually some caps are gone on the lower mainboard around the power regulators.

Another possibility could be, that the capstan motor causes overload by a defect coil or a hall sender in the drive logic fails.

There is a workshop on the workbench section for this recorder.
