    Solution to change Beogram 4002 head for reasonnable price

    Hi all,

     

    I've been restoring a Beogram 4002. It's working fine now but the MMC20E head is too old and I need to change it :(

    I couldnt find anything cheaper than $500 for a MMC20S. Is there a way to get a new head for less?

    Does someone has a solution to use a standard, cheaper head and adapt it to the harm ?

    Get it retipped - Look at the top article in the Beogram section and click on the link to Axel.

    Good idea - I would personally have it retipped up to at least the standard of a MMC20EN (eliptical nude) stylus. Shouldn't cost much more and will sound better & last longer as the tracking weight can be lowered to 1.2gSmile
