    Beosound 9000 & iPOD

Where can I buy a cable to connect my iPOD to my Beosound 9000? Can it be bought anywhere online? I have no dealers in San Juan, PR and need a cable or a docking station? Any advice and/or comments as to where to find it and if I should go with a cable or a docking station?

    thanks in advance,

Ebay has them.  You need a cable that goes from the headphone jack to the AUX port on the Beosound.  Just do a search.

Honestly, connecting an Ipod doe snot give you great sound. You might be disappointed, but try, you need the cable anyhow.

I switched to Airport Express, much better. I think there are also a couple of docks that may improve sound.

I find the headphone jack to be annoying and ugly when using my ipod at home. That's why I bought the apple universal dock w/ remote. The dock has the headphone jack on the backside so you can use the same cable, as well as the ipod usb port for charging. Very handy, the battery never dies when listeneing to music and you can charge the ipod when you're computer is off.

I couldn't get the picture of the dock from apple.com to work, sorry.

I think that if you have a good enough bit rate it will sound pretty good. If the track is recorded well, it will reflect in your system.

I have the Aux Cable connected to the Universal Apple Dock. It works great for me.

That is propably because of the sub-par headphone amp in the iPod or because of low bitrate, or both.

Using the line out, either via a dock or via a "pocketdock" from Sendstation would do the exact same as the Airport Express - namely giving you a proper line out, not an amplified headphone amp.
