    Beosound 3200 CD Setting problem

    Hello Everyone,

Somehow I have managed to changed some setting on my 3200 and now each time I advance to the next track, it skips one. I can only get the odd tracks; 1>3>5>7... I tried to use Test Modes 31 and 37 to go back to factory default settings but it keeps giving me an error (TM ERROR). Would anyone know how to resolve this.

    Thank you for your help!

Is it a stand alone system or part of a linked system?

    Regards Graham

Re: Beosound 3200 CD Setting problem

    Good afternoon Graham,

At the present, I have 2 pairs of 4000s and a pair of 8000s connected via Powerlink cables and a 3500 via a Masterlink cable. I also noticed that the problem arises only when using a remote (I have tried 3 different remotes) but not when I use the advance botton on the unit itself!

    Thank you.

Old thread but if the problem is still there - have you thought whether the IR signal is picked up by the BL 3500 as well?

    Good Morning Emil,

I have tried being up close to the 3500 and when I skip a track using the remote, it still does 2 at a time. Very frustrating!

    Thank you.

Re: Beosound 3200 CD Setting problem

    Hi,

I think that might be the problem. If the signal is picked up by both the BS 3200 and the BL 3500 one push on your Beo4 will make the BS 3200 to skip two tracks. Try to disconnect the BL 3500 from the mains or cover the IR sensor and see if that helps. Should that be the case you can change the audio option of your BL 3500 to only respond to link commands from your Beo4.

    Regards,

    Emil

Re: Beosound 3200 CD Setting problem

Thank you Emil. You were right!

Once I choose option "0" for the 3500's remote control operations to be deactivated, the problem is solved. But this caused me another problem. I have the 3500 connected to my 3200 via a MasterLink cable and if i don't chose option "6" which is for using the system and the 3500 in different rooms, the speaker does not turn on. I have tried option "0" (Remote deactivated) and option 4 (3200 and 3500 in the same room, this is the correct setting) but with both these settings the speaker is not activated.

Thank you again for your help!

Re: Beosound 3200 CD Setting problem

In option 4 you will have to put link in the window before entering a command. That should take care of the problem.

I am sorry but i do not understand what you mean by "you will have to put link in the window before entering a command". Can you please explain?

    Thank you!

Re: Beosound 3200 CD Setting problem

add the link option in to the list button commands. Once you have done that select the link command and then input the cd commands. See if that helps the situation.
