I'm very excited to tell you now that we have booked and confirmed the Kensington Roof Gardens, London for the BeoWorld 2010 Event !!

The date will be... Saturday March 27th 2010

Tickets are now for sale in the Gift Shop at £20 each.  This includes admission (usually £25 if you are on the guest list - this is a private members club and you cannot 'walk in off the street' - ever) and if we get to 100 people this will also include canapes and a free cocktail on arrival courtesy of the Events Manager who i can also let you know is a real B&O fan!

The ticket price also includes entry into a Prize Draw on the night where ALL proceeds go towards a brand new Bang & Olufsen Prize to be given away on the night. The more tickets we sell, the better the prize YOU could win - it's that simple.

The Kensington Roof Gardens was voted 'London Club of the Year' and is frequented by celebrities, members of the British Royal Family and countless other glitterati - so we deem it just about good enough for BeoWorld Members..  Sitting high on a rooftop above the heart of stylish Kensington in the heart of West London (next to Chelsea, Notting Hill, Knightsbridge (and Harrods) plus Hammersmith and Sheperds Bush to the West) this really is an incredibly special venue. You asked for London - and now you've got it.  You've also got one of the most famous venues in London and it promises to be a truly amazing night in a stunning location.  Hotels to suit all budgets are available in abundance, and we recommend TripAdvisor as a great way to find those hidden gems at reasonable prices - or 5-Star Luxury at a discounted rate. If you are flying to London you have the option of four airports - Stansted, London City, Gatwick - or the largest, Heathrow.

March 27th, this will be my birthday! Well I will be at the Mamilanji night club in Chelsea on the night, but I will promise to drop over to The Roof Gardens too maybe for drinks before hand. The Roof Gardens opens at 10pm, so I hope to see everyone then!

Judging by the logo, you're NOT telling me the 'Event Manager' is nobody less than mister Branson himself?! (Which I would, honestly, not be surprised to be a B&O nut).

Transport and accomodations in London are quite a chop in my bank, so I'll have a look around and see if I can arrange something. I've got a lot of events in the UK these days (including, not limited to, Stargate and sci-fi cons) so I'll better stock up on those frequent flyer miles. ;)

 

Can anyone tell me the post code , can't find it on the site , or how far from Harrods , trying to spot it on Google Earth .

For those of you who can't bear to be without B&O for one night, you can rent TheLuxPod, http://www.theluxpod.com which is a 5 minute walk from The BeoWorld event. Bespoke items in the interior are color matched to the anodized blue B&O equipment. How's that for obsessiveness?  Minimum stay is 3 nights though.  

I live a few streets away and if anyone would like me to check accommodation in the area, please let me know.  It is patchy.  A place I recommend is Kensington House Hotel, a small boutique hotel, also a few minutes walk from the Beoworld Event. Tell them a local resident has recommended it and they will give you a further discount. http://www.kenhouse.com. At higher prices and within a few minutes walk are Milestonehotel.com and royalgardenhotel.co.uk   Cheaper: Kensingtonclosehotel.com, in W8 which is about 8 mins away. Also on Cromwell Road, W8 or SW7, near Gloucester Road tube is full of hotels (large and small) and is about a 10 minutes walk.  Let me know if you need further names. Best, Judith

I would really enjoy attending one of these some day.......  Current, and likely future budget, just will not allow.

Not  nearly enough.. I think about 12.  If we stay at the current level we will have to cancel.

I've really tried my best here, and people seem very good at saying but not doing. There may be a lot of people waiting to see, but really - just do it and buy the tickets!!  You will not find a better venue, i gave plenty of notice, and it's free.  The £20 goes towards a prize for the people that attend, so you could even walk away with some free B&O.

this sounds very tempting...  i'll be flying from Seoul to Brussels on the 1st of April and I guess I could stop by London for a few days.  now if only i can convince my wife and daughter...
