    Beo 5500

I have an old Beo 5500 audio system linked to extra speakers in kitchen and to BV9 - I recently moved the Beo 5500 from one side of room to the other.

Since moving I have problems the when listening to radio or CD if turning volume up the system shuts off - I spoke to B&O they say I need software update, but this only happened since I moved the unit.

    Any  thoughts.

Does the Beomaster get hotter than before? These Beomasters (as many others) have problems with aging trimpots in the amplifier. They may have developed a bad contact when you moved it, therefore the amp heats up too much and the protection circuit turns it off.

If this is the case, it's not a big problem - a couple of cheap components and half an hour for someone who knows what he's doing.

    Hi Mika

Not sure about Beomaster getting  hot, will check - but it only cuts off when I adjust volume up very quickly.?
