    Audio System

What would be the best B&O audio system to link in with BV9 - would also be masterlinked through out house.

I would suggest the Beosound 9000. As it holds six CDs you would have the choice of any of the six wherever in the house you were.

    Beovision 7-55 with Beolab 7-4, 9s and 4000s

    Beovision 10-40 with Beolab 1s and 6000s

    Beosound 1, 5, 2000, and 3000

    Beotime, Beotalk, Beocoms

I like my BS3200 as it was all possibilities. I linked it with Beoport to my iMac and can listen all iTunes Music and Net Radio. The BS9000 is a design icon, but quite bulky - not useful for my home and as my music is on the iMac I do not need 6 CDs.

For future the BS5 will be my favourite. It has great possibilities even if B&O does not utilize all of them (Video support, streaming, Ipod remote, touch screen...). I think this is the future as I already buy all my music in the net.

    BeoVision 8-40 / BeoVision 8-32 / Beovision 6-26 / BeoSound 3200 / BeoSound 1 / BeoLab 3 /  Beolab 6000 / Beolab 2000 / Beoport / Beomedia 1 / 3* Beo4 /BeoCom 5 with VOIP

I believe the BeoSound 4 (especially when revamped with DAB+) provides the widest range of sources (e.g. the SD card) but it does not have the build quality of the BS 3200, nor the magic of either the BS 3200 or the BS 9000

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Thank you guys for all the advise - I would tempted by all suggestions, but I think BeoSound 3200 is very classy, love those doors.

a Beosound 3000 is good enough if you don't need the harddisk, get one with at least SW 2.12 - for future use of n.music or n.radio with beoport

I also have the BS3200 and love the versatility of all the different sources. I have mine connected via A.AUX to my Pioneer plasma, and control everything with a Beo5 remote. I also use the Beo5 to navigate the BS3200's hard drive with pages of buttons on the Beo5's screen that are named with the stored album titles within each colour folder. I think this really enhances the use of the BS3200....... and yes..... the doors are fantastic!

    H Matthew

Your set up sounds great -

I have Airport express and would use it to acess iTunes - with my old system I have extra speaker connections and Ml linked in will this be possible with BS3200.

    Re: Audio System

    Hi Movie,

I'm not an Apple expert myself - but there are plenty of other Beoworlders who are, and who use Airport express and iTunes together with their B&O kit. It's my understanding that you can run such a set-up through the A.AUX input on the BS3200, with remote control achieved using something like and iPod Touch. Hopefully the Apple savvy Beoworlders will be able to steer you in the right direction here.

    Cheers,

    Matthew
