There appears to be a slight problem with the time to next prize darw calculation...
It says the next draw is in 362 days 6 hours 36 minutes

Re: Prizedraw countdown bug
Serious question..
Would people prefer more expensive prizes and have a draw every 2 months, or the same level of prizes and a monthly draw?

Re: Prizedraw countdown bug
Another idea could maybe be to cut down the 5 smallest prizes. In the "you are a winner" mail you mention that only about 70% of the winners follow up on the shipment for the prizes. I only guees but maybe these small prizes cost to much for Beoworld if it is them people fail to pay the shipment for?
Another thing is that it might be a good idea to inform a little more about that the winners have to pay for the shipment of the prizes. Only reason i have found out is because i have won a prize.
Just my two cents

I like the monthly prize draw! 6 prize draws a year would be to far between.

If you look at the Prize Draw page, right in the very middle of the screen in full view i made sure to put a link to the Prize Draw Rules & Regulations.
I then worded these as plainly as i could to avoid any confusion, devoting a whole paragraph to it entitled 'Prize Collection' explaining that prizes can be collected from BeoWorld HQ or sent anywhere in the world at cost.
I do try and make things as clear as possible, but i apologise if they are not clear enough

Hmmm...
It is clear, but what isn't... is just how much is owed?
We actually have an old open converstion / PM regarding what I owe you for shipping.
There was no reference whatsoever to the cost? Should I just pay a strong guesstimate so that the extra can go towards the site and/or offset winners that don't pay?

Re: Prizedraw countdown bug
The prize draw clock has been corrected.
It is no so much a bug, more that I was not around at prize draw time to change the setting.
The countdown was actually showing the time until the November 2010 draw !!!
You may need to do a browser refresh..

Re: Prizedraw countdown bug
Would anyone prefer it on the 22nd out of interest? What day would you think will suit everyone more?

Re: Prizedraw countdown bug
I will find my way to a computer no matter what day! Unless im at work haha, I dont think I could sneak off for an hour without someone asking for me.
The thought about having bigger prizes is very interesting but I think people have more fun with the current setup. More people are winning and people have higher chances at winning.

Thank You! - The speakers are MINT as is the BeoCenter.. a real perfectionists prize and one i'd love to own myself !! I thought something like that would be a really nice 'complete set-up' for someone wether a B&O 'old hand' or a novice alike.
Thanks again to B&O for the BeoTime in 6th by the way - they sent us not one, but two upon launch.. very kind of them
Not everyone is into it - but the Golf Bag is stunning!! I don't play Golf, but a bag like that could encourage someone to start!!!

Indeed! I think that is a just about perfect product for a prize draw - I suspect even the sceptics wouldn't mind actually having one if it was forced upon them
Once per month seems the ideal interval to me. I would get bored waiting two months to not win!

Re: Prizedraw countdown bug
Same here - I take pride in not winning each and every month!
Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.
