Ordered a BeoSound 5  about 3 weeks ago, but there seems to be delivery problems.

Dealer is now talking about January 2010, before it will show up.

Anyone herd about what is causing the delivery problems?

Hello Mikael,

from what I have heard they have had problems with the motherboards of the Beomaster 5. My broke 4 weeks ago and they could not repair it yet, because they don't have the (new) motherboards. I was told that it will be week 51 at the earliest.

Don't tell me that !! Mine is in for a repair !about an week for now.

Same issue - Ordered a BS5  2weeks ago and were told it would arrive on December 14th. Now my dealer have informed me, that the motherboard issues means that the system will not arrive until earliest January.

I'm getting mine back this Friday !!! Just before christmas !

My dealer told me last week that they got the new replacement boards for those in for repair.

But this week - delivery time for my new one was still January.

Edit: Dealer called later today and told me it would arrive friday

well i received my beosound/master 5 yesterday, and now it works correctly. So i hope i'll not getting more trouble with it !!!

Since having my Beomaster 5 repaired twice,once for the memory dieing and then for the main board,it now works fine and used everyday

I think its a great bit of kit,just shame there are/were problems with the first units!

Im sure thoses awaiting there new Beomaster/Beosound 5 units will be well pleased.
