    Replacing DC motor Beogram 1902

    Hi there.

The dc motor of my Beogram 1902 seems to be broken. Now I also own a (newer) 1600. Does it have the same motor and how can I replace them? Or should I continue with the 1600 instead ?

Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated !

Re: Replacing DC motor Beogram 1902

Goodevening all. I decided to leave the Beogram 1600 in one piece and restore it cause it runs very smoothly,  looks nice and, important, the lid is intact !

Now I'm picking up an 1102 soon with a good running motor (according to the seller)

So PLEASE someone can tell me how I can be sure the the replacement motor is good, how can I test it ?

Further let me know soonest how to dismantel the wiring of the motor, just soldering ?

Before I ruin this beautifull machines I could use some good advise. Idea

    Thanks in advance

Re: Replacing DC motor Beogram 1902

The Beogram 1102 has a DC motor and wires have a plug to the circuit board.
The 1902 uses the same motor so should eventually be an easy swap.

The 1600 I cannot comment on since I don't have the manual and never
saw a 1600 here in Denmark.

The only way to properly test a motor is to play a test record and
    put on a wow/flutter instrument.
Alternatively, play some known good records and listen.

The belt can also need replacing. Typical symptom is too high wow and too slow to
    gain speed.

    Tx for response Martin Smile

So the plug to the circuit board does'nt need sordering, thats good news.

I beleve this model was only sold in France and Vs so they should be quite rare here in EUrope! I'll consider to 'restore' an use the 1900 as donor Idea

Now about the belt, it seems to be ok though., still all records do have Wow after about 10 minutes.

I'll do some more testing with the 1600

    Thanks and keep you posted.
